Additionally Echo Pacific completed stadium improvements to the three comprehensive high schools which are Escondido High, Orange Glen High, and San Pasqual High School. The stadium improvements included new synthetic turf and all weather track surfaces. These projects are a part of the Escondido High School District’s $98 Million bond, Proposition T. This bond was approved by voters in 2008 for capital improvements and new construction at the three high schools and construction of a new “bio tech” high school slated to open for the 2013/2014 school year.

Students enjoying their first weeks back are noticing many changes to the campus. The Escondido High School Expansion and modernization project has been divided into two phases to allow the school to continue operating during the construction period. The first phase at EHS, valued at $20.5 M, included modernization of science and computer labs, new visual art classrooms, administration offices, a new gymnasium floor, as well as expansion/modernization to the auto and agricultural classrooms. New construction included a new music/physical education building, stadium ticket booths, parking lot improvements, hardscape, and landscaping.

Ed Nelson, Superintendent of the Escondido High School District stated, “We are very excited with the quality of construction projects recently completed by Echo Pacific. Their sincere dedication to providing high quality construction projects on time and within budget has allowed students to open school in 2010 with renewed excitement and enthusiasm. The classroom additions are very professionally done, and the improvement to athletic facilities are the buzz on campuses across the city. Most importantly, Echo has exhibited a client-centered approach that has built trust and respect across the district. A "Job Well Done" as we look forward to our developing relationship through future projects.”

The second phase, which involves a new gymnasium, wrestling, and dance facility along with modernization of two classrooms is currently underway. Completion is slated for February 2011. Through the collaborative efforts of the District leadership, Echo Pacific, NTD Architects and EPC’s group of committed Sub Contractors, the first phase was completed nearly one year ahead of schedule. The EPC site team includes Tommy Ruiz, Project superintendent, Craig Smith, Project Manager and Andrew Rummerfield, Project Engineer.
