PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The expansion is a 1,000 foot extension of the existing Del Sol Boulevard west from Surfcrest Drive in the Ocean View Hills housing development. The extension will assist the San Ysidro School District in providing needed access to their new Vista Del Mar Elementary School.

Earthwork consists of 35,000 cubic yards of cut and 19,000 cubic yards of fill. A 580 foot long by 10 foot high battered and radiused concrete retaining wall keeps the roadway high above a sensitive canyon eco-system. Water, sewer and storm drain systems extend beyond the end of the road to allow for future extension to the housing development to the west.
